Introduction

Formal meetings can be a regular part of day-to-day life in work, on placement, or in a voluntary role. They can sometimes be unfamiliar, so in order to help you feel prepared for meetings, this session will take you through the essentials of formal meetings. 

In this course, you'll learn about: 

• the terms and jargon used in meetings;

• what to expect from a standard meeting format;

• how best to conduct yourself and present ideas, feedback, or opinions in meetings. 

The aim of this session will be to equip you to feel comfortable in professional environments, and help you contribute in the most effective way to meetings.
