​Awarded to the student who has become more connected with the Union (prior to this year was not actively involved), recognisable around the Union or who is a new addition to a society and has made some great changes.  

  

​Awarded to the student who has shown commitment, enthusiasm and positivity to the activity of volunteering as well as promotion of volunteering to others and organising volunteering events.

  

​Awarded to a stand-out student who has played an active role in one or more of the Union's Stag Media groups and demonstrated qualities such as media skills, support and connecting with the Union, shows a can-do approach to requests from others, improvement to organisation and/or promotion of media service.

  

Awarded to a Course-Rep who has demonstrated qualities including good communication skills, willingness to pass on and collect information, communication with the Union, attendance at training, commitment and time given to the role.

  

Awarded to an Academic staff member who has demonstrated qualities including excellence at engaging, motivating and inspiring students, going the extra mile to support students and willingness to give up time to answer questions and see students, as well as a positive attitude to teaching and learning, an ability to enthuse students about subject area and being available to students on the programme.

  

Awarded to the part-time Union staff member who has demonstrated qualities such as good leadership, willingness to learn, organisation, team-working, adapting to difficult situations and reliability.

Nominated by Students' Union commercial staff, winner decided by Students' Union HR Committee, not Individual Awards Committee.

  

Awarded to a student or group of students leading an event, either as part of a society or other Union project. Demonstrating qualities including enthusiasm, excellent planning and organisation, connection with the Union and use of staff expertise, communication with other about event, promotion, innovative qualities of event, final outcome or success of event.

Shortlisted by sabbatical team but then winner is decided on student vote, not by Exec.

  

Awarded to a student or group of students who have stood out as an excellent fundraiser either as part of a society or alone. Qualities include good promotion of the cause, sustained commitment to fundraising, ability to enthuse others, and amount raised. Societies should be eligible for this award if nominees have worked within the group

  

​Awarded to a student who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting students within the university and union on wellbeing issues.

  

​Awarded to a final year student who fulfils many of the qualities mentioned in each of the award categories and is generally a "stand-out" student having the "x-factor" in terms of the whole student experience and have done something ground breaking. Each winner of the individual awards shall be automatically shortlisted into this category. Agreed to host nominations online for this award to catch any student who does not fit as a winner of any other category. This award is only to be given to a final year student
